in excess of 25 miles per hour over the posted speed limit must be ordered by the Judge.
Your citation is for a moving violation and does not require a mandatory appearance.
You do not have a Failure to Appear hold on license or Civil Assessment.
The Failure to Appear charge must be adjudicated or paid in full before you can
attend Traffic School.
Violation does not involve alcohol, drug use or possession.
NOTE: Effective as of July 1, 2011, the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) shall hold only one traffic school conviction within an 18-month period confidential. This also applies to non-point count violations, which are not used to determine negligent operator by DMV. If you have attended another traffic school within eighteen months, DMV will not hold your attendance on this citation confidential.
Your traffic citation may be continued for ninety (90) days from date of payment to allow attendance and completion of the Traffic School Program.

Pay By Phone by calling the automated 24-hour Traffic Information and Payment Center (213) 763-1645.

You can mail a check (made out to Los Angeles Superior Court) either by using the payment coupon attached with the courtesy notice or send a check with the balance due to the courthouse listed on your ticket. Write the citation and LEA number on your check. Standard fees apply if your check is returned.

You may pay your ticket at any Traffic Courthouse. Customers are encouraged to Schedule an Appointment with the Clerk’s Office, in advance, to avoid waiting in line.

Requesting Traffic School:

Please Note: Los Angeles County Superior Court is currently experiencing technical issues that may affect the processing of traffic school eligibility for individuals whose driver’s licenses expire in 2030. If you believe you are eligible for traffic school, and your driver’s license expires in 2030, please contact the Los Angeles County Traffic Call Center at 213-633-6300 or visit any Traffic Courthouse in the county for assistance.

If you are eligible to attend Traffic School and wish to do so you must first request to attend Traffic School. You can request traffic school online, by mail, by phone, in person at the Clerk’s Office or at your court arraignment hearing.
Pay a non-refundable Traffic School Processing Fee of $64.00, plus the amount of bail indicated on your courtesy notice.
If paying by check or money order, make your check payable to “Los Angeles County Superior Court” and include your citation or case number on your payment.
Enroll with iDrive EZ Traffic School within two weeks, pay the enrollment fee and register for the class.
Successfully complete the course of instruction.
iDrive EZ Traffic School will complete the “Certificate of Completion”
When you have completed the course, we will issue you a receipt and electronically file the Certificate of Completion to the court.
Allow at least 7-10 days for the Court and DMV to process your completion certificate.

You will have 60 days to complete traffic school.

Failure to Complete

Failure to submit proof of completion by the due date will result in your bail being forfeited, the violation being reported to DMV as a conviction, and a point count on your driving record.
